Petra is in our Seattle office, and she is a seasoned litigator with experience in numerous areas. Her practice is currently focused on construction defect and construction litigation, malpractice, and professional liability suits. She also handles cybersecurity claims and litigation, and healthcare related claims and administrative proceedings, including defending adult family homes and nursing homes. She currently serves as the co-chair of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society’s Northwest Chapter.
Petra has fifteen years of experience representing general contractors in personal injury and construction-defect related litigation. Her other practice areas include personal injury, premises liability, and commercial litigation. She has extensive experience litigating, mediating, and settling cases in both state and federal courts in Nevada and Washington, and she has obtained numerous successful results, including dismissals. Her experience in numerous practice areas has given her unmatched insight into defending her clients.
She recently obtained dismissals of all claims against a real estate broker client, and two attorneys in legal malpractice claims, a homeowners’ association in an alleged breach of fiduciary duty case, dismissals of four directors and officers, as well as an accounting firm. She has also successfully obtained permanent injunctions on behalf of two clients.
Petra has also served as Executive Articles Editor on the St. John’s Journal of Legal Commentary. She
served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Patrick J. Roma, New Jersey Superior Court Judge, as well as a Nevada Supreme Court appointed mediator for the State of Nevada’s Foreclosure Mediation Program.
After practicing primarily in Las Vegas, Nevada, she moved to Seattle and began practicing in Washington in early 2015. She is licensed to practice in Washington, Nevada, New Jersey, and the
District of Columbia.
